The Kitchen
This is the heart of Texas Bee — and where our apothecary line comes to life. It is where the rich body butters are whipped to perfection, where solid lotion bars and propolis lip salves are poured by hand, and where every single ingredient is meticulously weighed down to the gram. We don't rush the process — whether we are crafting skincare or stirring a small batch of jam — because cutting corners simply isn't an option.
Every product that leaves this kitchen has been touched, tested, and approved by the same hands that made it. There is no quality control department. There is no production manager. There is just us, our standards, and our deep belief that what goes on your skin matters.
The Hives
Tucked away in the back corner of the property is the apiary. This is the source of the raw propolis and golden beeswax that make our salves and body care goods so deeply nourishing. Tending to these colonies isn't just a production step — it's a daily dedication to the bees that make this entire homestead possible.
We currently tend five hives: four established in May 2025 and our newest addition from May 2026. Each colony is monitored closely, treated with care, and never pushed beyond what's sustainable. We're currently enrolled in a Honey 101 course at Texas A&M University as part of our Master Beekeeper Program, and we're awaiting sample kits to professionally test our honey before our first harvest this fall. When that honey is ready, it will be the most local, most traceable product we've ever offered.
The Greenhouse & The Gardenhouse
A few steps away is the greenhouse and our enclosed gardenhouse, where the botanical foundation of our artisan products begins. This is where the herbs that get infused into our beeswax salves grow and thrive in the spring sun. We oversee every seedling and harvest by hand, ensuring that the botanicals blended into our apothecary are as pure and vibrant as possible.
From calendula and lavender to chamomile and rosemary — if it ends up in one of our products, it started here, in this soil, under our watch. That's not a marketing claim. That's just how we do things.
Why It Matters
In a world where "small batch" and "artisan" have become marketing buzzwords, we think it's worth being specific. Small batch at Texas Bee means we can only make as much as our kitchen, our hives, and our garden allow. Artisan means every bar, every jar, and every tin was made by hand — not by a machine in a facility we've never visited.
When you order from us, your package ships from this exact address. The same address where the herbs were grown, the beeswax was harvested, and the product was poured. Imagine that.
