Texas Bee was founded in May 2024 by Pamela Devine — not from a business plan, but from a calling.
Before Texas Bee, Pamela had been in business with a close friend. When that partnership ended, she found herself at a crossroads. The original idea was simple: keep a few hives, sell some honey. But the more she learned about bees — about propolis, beeswax, bee bread, and the extraordinary compounds the hive produces — the more she realized honey was just the beginning. The real opportunity was in bringing those benefits directly to people's skin, in products made without the synthetic chemicals and unpronounceable ingredients that fill most commercial shelves.
Texas Bee was born.
Rooted in Something Deeper
The decision to keep bees wasn't just practical. It was personal.
Pamela's daughter passed away in 2019. She had a deep love for bees — not for the honey, but for what they represent. Working together. Focus. Kindness. The quiet, purposeful way a hive functions as one. Tending these colonies is, in part, a way of honoring her. Every hive on this property carries that meaning.
Today, Texas Bee tends five hives on 2.15 acres in Central Texas — four established in May 2025 and a fifth added in May 2026. Pamela is currently enrolled in the Master Beekeeper Program through Texas A&M University, and the first Texas Bee honey harvest is planned for fall 2026. When it arrives, it will be the most local, most traceable, most intentional product we've ever offered.
Made Here. By Hand. From Scratch.
Every product that leaves Texas Bee was made on this property — in the kitchen, where body butters are whipped and lotion bars are poured by hand; in the gardenhouse, where calendula, chamomile, lavender, and rosemary grow and are harvested by hand; and at the apiary, where raw beeswax and propolis are sourced directly from our own colonies.
Pamela is joined by her husband Mike — her partner of 40 years — and her mother, both of whom help keep the homestead and the business running. Texas Bee is 100% independently owned. There are no investors, no co-packers, no outside facilities. What you order ships from the same address where it was grown, harvested, and made.
Why It Matters
Pamela's mission has always been simple: provide products that are genuinely better for you, and help people understand why that matters. Too many personal care products are filled with ingredients that are hard to pronounce and harder to trust. At Texas Bee, every ingredient has a purpose, a source, and a story.
